Meet Jax! A true canine rock star, this Terrier/Boxer mix is looking for a forever family to call his own. Around 3 years old, Jax is a classic charmer, a quintessential dog, proof positive of his species’ place as man’s best friend. Still very much a puppy at heart, he is an energetic boy who would thrive in an active home. While he loves older kids, his energy level might be a bit too much for young children. He would do fine as an only-dog or with another equally active canine friend to be his playmate. Jax goes gaga over the company of people, and can’t get enough hugs, belly rubs, and butt scratches. In fact he has been known to sneakily slip his head under your hand when you are not paying attention, in a feeble attempt to force a head scratch. And it works every time! This beautiful boy is both strong and sensitive – what a great combination! And with such brains and beauty, how could anyone resist that face?

Now Jax just needs a forever home where he will be loved and kept safe. He promises to return the love for years to come. Would you be willing to make his dreams come true and give him a home? If so, please contact Charlene at 330-416-3714 for more information. One look in those soulful terrier eyes and you’ll be hooked!

About The Rescue Inn

About Our Rescue Group...

The Rescue Inn, Inc. ("TRI") is an Ohio non-profit, foster-based rescue organization dedicated to saving the lives of dogs in need.

We are run by a dedicated group of volunteers who are passionate about our four-legged friends. Our mission is to save dogs from high kill shelters and abuse/neglect situations and place those animals into loving and permanent homes. We promote responsible animal ownership and provide medical treatment, foster care and training to unwanted, abandoned, lost or surrendered animals.

Our animals are spayed/neutered, receive appropriate veterinary care and are placed into a safe, secure foster home while waiting for their permanent home. We also strive to work with other area shelters and rescues to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to enhance our rescue mission.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We are a foster-based rescue and place our animals into safe, secure foster homes while awaiting permanent homes. We make every effort to schedule meet and greets with interested applicants upon request.
