Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Winona loves children and is great with children of all ages everyday and loves to give thousands of kisses. She wants to always be a lap dog. She is currently working on walking on a leash and crate training at night. She whines when she needs to go potty and is now fully house trained. She is also great with other dogs. She loves to play outside and run with the kids. Some of her favorite toys are rubber duckies and a tug of war rope. She can climb and go down stairs and loves car rides. Winona loves meeting new people and isn't skiddish of loud noises, in fact she is very curious as to what they are. She is a kind soul and has a super cool feature on her back. Her back is all black but she has a small quarter size white dot on the side towards her back end, it reminds us of a button! Winona is estimated to be about 4 months old and weighs about 10 pounds. Since we don't know at all what doggy genes are in the dogs make up (we don't know who mom and dad are!), we are just guessing on breed and size when grown.
All dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. They have all had a vet exam, are up to date on vaccinations, have been given a dewormer, are treated for fleas, have a heartworm test if over 6 months old and are up to date on a heartworm preventative.
Please note that because we require a home visit at the time of adoption we can only place animals in homes within a 60 mile radius of Minneapolis. If you are interested in meeting this dog please fill out the pre-adoption application on our website at http://www.safehandsrescue.org under Adopt and we will get back to you to arrange a meeting in the foster home.
We also have an Adoptable Dog Meet & Greet on Saturday March 12, 2016, at Adopt-A-Pet Shop, 1115 Vicksburg Ln N, Plymouth 55447, from 3:30-5:30pm. Occasionally dogs cannot make it to the Meet & Greet, therefore feel free to verify if your dog of interest is able to attend. Please bring a copy of your pre-adoption application.
