Madelynn's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Madelynn's Story...
Tiny, tiny Maddie is just about 9" tall at her shoulder. Her foster home includes two cats that are taller than she is! She's a sweet "lemon beagle," who despite appearances, may be a mix of some sort. Maddie is quiet, walks with her head up instead of nose to the ground, and her coat is soft and slightly (just slightly) longer than the typical beagle coat. Whatever her heritage, she is a wonderful little girl. She's gentle, bright, perky and very affectionate! She enjoys being petted and held and gives kisses indiscriminately.

Maddie is great with other dogs (large or small), cats and children (although given her small stature would probably be safest with older kids). She is actually quite intuitive with children, being so quiet and gentle with one two year old who was afraid of dogs, that he was petting her by the time he left the house.

Maddie tolerates being crated, but is not fond of it. That's OK, because she will sleep through the night on her bed next to her foster mom's and is not destructive at all when left at home uncrated while her family runs errands.

What an all around NICE little dog!

Adoptive Status: Spayed, UTD on shots and micro-chipped.

Dream Home Minimum Requirements: Just needs love and a human to love her.

Owner Aptitude Level: Beginner.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Madelynn, a Waldorf Beagle/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Dachshund for sale in Waldorf, or seeking a Beagle/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Waldorf.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Waldorf already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Waldorf breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Dachshund breeders who help with Beagle/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Waldorf paves the way for another one to be saved.
