Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already spayed and up to date with shots.
COURTESY POST: Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is helping facilitate the adoption of this cat. We take no responsibility for the health and medical records of this cat. It is the responsibility of the owner and adopter to discuss this.
Dinah--is there any one finer? Our Dinah is a mature lady of mystery. The shelter’s experts believe she is a purebred Russian Blue. How and why did this lovely senior cat end up as a stray? She may reveal her secret past when she's feeling safe and secure in a cozy home with cat-savvy adults of any age or possibly as part of a family with polite children age 14 and above. Most likely, Dinah will prefer to be the one and only object of your attention and affection.
You will want to give Dinah a small space to call her own for a while as she adjusts to her new surroundings. Go slowly as cats of any age are not fond of change and older cats may need extra time to become comfortable and relaxed. Plan to visit Dinah often by bringing a book or paperwork as you hang out together. Offering soft words of reassurance and some gentle petting will help her bond with you. She may even display a playful side if you engage her curiosity with a teaser wand toy. When she comes to greet you as you enter her room, it may be time to gradually introduce her to the rest of her home, one room at a time. Always leave the way open for her to return to her home base for rest and her litter box. Dinah is ready to grace your home with her exotic beauty and warm your heart with her charm.
According to the Cat Fancier’s Association, the Russian Blue is a gentle cat with a somewhat shy nature around strangers. They are devoted to and affectionate with their loved ones. Sensitive to their owner’s moods, the Russian Blue will greet you at the door, find a quiet seat next to you, or fetch a toy at playtime. In fact, “fetching” is a favorite pastime for Russians and their owners! Pull out the vacuum cleaner, and the Russian will find a safer and quieter location. Relatively quiet-voiced (except perhaps at mealtime), the Russian Blue appreciates a pat on the head, a window from which to watch the birds, and, of course, the comforts of home. Minimal grooming is required; regular nail clipping, good nutrition, an occasional combing, and lots of petting keep your Russian Blue pet looking spectacular.
Dinah had a full blood panel work and a full dental done and is declared in great health. All she needs is a loving forever home. The shelter does not ask for an adoption fee for this exquisite little lady.
