**This information is current - when you email you can rest assured we will email back within 24hrs., but usually within an hour of receiving your email!**The rescue support donation is not for the 'purchase' of a dog, but rather to cover the medical and other costs of all dogs in our care. Shelter support donations are NOT NEGOTIABLE for that reason. Please respect that and do not email us to ask. Without ongoing support and adoption fees, our rescue WILL CEASE TO EXIST!**No phone calls, EMAIL ONLY, AlphaMom33@aol.com to get an application, thank you for understanding.**

**These dogs are in foster homes, not a shelter setting; therefore we only accept appointments for those reasonably sure they WILL adopt the dog for which they are applying.**

This is Luau, AKA Lou.

He is a pot bellied pig.  There really is no such thing as a teacup pig, but because pot bellied pigs do not get as large as butcher type hogs, they are known as miniature.  He is between 150-200lbs.

https://www.thedodo.com/whats-misleading-about-the-tea-843842300.html  There's more info to be found here.

Lou is Limbo's 'mate' and they keep each other company. Limbo was unable to be spayed, since we rescued her as an adult and that type surgery on a pig her size is too dangerous. The time to alter pigs is when they are approximately 2 mos. of age.

Lou IS neutered, so there is no chance of Limbo becoming pregnant.  Since they are bonded, Lou is also a sanctuary pig.

Donations can be made to their care. Should you wish to do so, please use the email link provided to get more info on how to do that.  Their feed is very expensive and we can always use donations to care for them.
