Alvin's Story...
Alvin is about 9 months old and was surrendered to us from his family as they are moving and can't take him with. He is a sweet boy with beautiful markings.

Alvin is a little shy at first but warms up quickly. He is a very friendly boy and loves to play with whatever he can find. He loves people and can't get enough attention from his foster mom.

Perpetual motion best describes this him. He loves to be petted but can't sit still long enough to get much petting. He tends to "flop" at your feet and then gets up and flops again. He needs a home where can get lots of attention and ah home with patience as he settles in.

Alvin is good with other cats and would probably love a playmate. We feel he would be fine with cat friendly dogs after proper introduction.

All adoptable pets have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. For more information about adoption, please contact Camp Companion at 507-951-7801, www.campcompanion.org, or find us on Facebook!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Alvin, a Rochester Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Rochester, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Rochester.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rochester already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rochester breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rochester paves the way for another one to be saved.
