Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hunny Bunny was brought to SAFE's attention because she was a stray who was starving and had been involved in an accident and left on her own. We took her to an animal orthopedic surgeon who advised us to let her try to heal herself (One of her back legs was dragging.). Well, heal herself she did! The doctor predicted 60% mobility for the leg and we think she's at least gotten it up to 95%. It doesn't slow her down whatsoever. She is in foster with an amazing couple and this is what they say;"This hunny is seeking a man in her life. She enjoys being around her foster mom but truly lights up when she has a fellow to take her outdoors."
She is still a little too "hound happy"; with her jumping and greeting, so very young children would be a problem. Some sturdy older children would be great fun for her to burn off energy with! Having had no guidance in her early years, she is now getting the hang of behaving and not acting out. but since she has recovered from the trauma of her accident (We believe she was struck by car) and discovered security in food and surroundings and attention---what is not to celebrate about!! she is feeling good and expressing her young dog self.
House training is almost complete. She utilizes the doggy door but might still try to sneak a pee on the mat at the door if you are not right there to let her out. With age and maturity this will not be a problem.
She is a sweet hound with lots of energy and crates very well after a playtime and a "hunny hush". Then you get to witness the peaceful sleep of a dog who was saved from pain and a difficult life. ! Hunny Bunny is young and single and ready to mingle.
