My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Shiloh! This pretty, doe-eyed 4 year old BC is a shy girl. She came to WBCR with her older sister Lily after being surrendered to a shelter due to a terrible incident with the family feline. We were able to take them into the rescue in the nick of time, and are delighted to be able give these two nice dogs a chance.

Shiloh is definitely the less confident, more reserved, and mellower of the two, and it took her a little while to open up in her foster home. She started by sleeping in corners or behind furniture, she’s now out in the open with the other dogs. Shiloh has come to enjoy attention and affection from her foster family, but she is not demanding about it – she is just a quiet, loving girl with her familiar humans. She is good with other dogs and enjoys playtime with other canines. She really enjoys the company of her sister Lily and we are on the fence whether or not need to be placed together since there are advantages and disadvantages to them as a pair. Shiloh also does like her squeaky toys and will play with them too. She is fairly quiet, but does make all kinds of talking sounds when excited! She is more Border Collie than Lily, and she shows some herdyness and nippyness typical of the breed. Shiloh will not be placed in a home with cats. She is a moderate energy girl, and after a good dose of exercise she enjoys lying in the sun and soaking up some rays.

Although it doesn’t seem like Shiloh has had much in the way of training, she is one of those kind of naturally well-mannered dogs. She would surely benefit from training using positive, gentle methods, as it would boost her confidence and engage her mind. She is housetrained.

All in all, Shiloh is a lovely, agreeable girl who will thrive in a home dedicated to building her confidence and enjoying her company! If you are looking for a milder Border Collie to be your sweet little shadow, Shiloh may be the girl for you.

Shiloh is spayed, up to date on shots, and living in a loving foster home near Denver, CO.
