Facts about Lily

  • Breed: Border Collie Mix
  • Color: Black - With White
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Female
Meet Lily! This leggy, goofy-eared 6year old BC mix is a sweet girl with a big smile. She came to WBCR with her younger sister Shiloh after being surrendered to a shelter due to a terrible incident with the family feline. We were able to take them into the rescue in the nick of time, and are delighted to be able give these two nice dogs a chance.

Lily is the more lively, outgoing, and confident of the two, and quick to make human friends. She loves attention, is very affectionate, and really enjoys a good scratching! She can be somewhat playful with other dogs, and is pretty agreeable with other canines although she does have an “in charge” characteristic. She really enjoys the company of her sister Shiloh and we are on the fence whether or not need to be placed together since there are advantages and disadvantages to them as a pair. Lily really likes to go for walks and runs, and is starting to play with toys a little. Although she shows no herdyness, she cannot be placed in a home with cats. She has a pretty high energy level and will need a good chunk of vigorous exercise daily to be at her best.

Lily has quite a few skills to boast about, too. She housetrained and familiar with some of the basics. She does pull somewhat on a leash, but an Easy Walk Harness can definitely help reduce that. Like many dogs, she will definitely benefit from adopters willing to continue with her manners training. Lily did have some skin issues in the past but they seem to have improved since arriving into foster care.

All in all, Lily is a good kiddo that is enjoyable to live with and will make a great canine companion. If you are looking for an outgoing and loving dog who is ready to take on life’s adventures by your side, Lily may be the one for you!

Lily is spayed, up to date on shots, and living in a loving foster home near Denver, CO.
