Smokey's Story...
"Are you looking for a happy dog who has one of the friendliest dispositions around? My name is SMOKEY, and I'm that dog. I'm a Husky/ Sheltie mix, and I'm about one year old. I have some Husky markings, while my height is closer to that of a Sheltie. I'm young and energetic, so I'll need a good walk each day, along with a yard, to be at my best. I'm both kid-friendly and dog-friendly, and I know how to sit on command. I hope to find a home where I'll be a cherished member of the family. I think that if you come visit me, you'll take one look at my wonderful face, and you'll feel good all over. I seem to have that effect on people. I'm waiting for you here at the El Cajon Animal Shelter, so please come by soon so we can spend some time in the nice play yard that they have here. You'll be happy you did. Love, Smokey"

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Smokey, a El Cajon Husky/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Husky/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog breeders who help with Husky/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
