Josie's Story...
Hi, my name is Josie. I'm almost 2 years old & I weigh 6 pounds. I had a bit of a rough beginning as I was rescued from a hoarding situation. Because of that, I can be a little shy and it does take me some time to warm up so I'm looking for a new family who will have patience with me.

I'm healthy, I get along with other dogs & don't mind cats either. I'm a very good girl with my potty habits and I'm not a barker. I love stuffed animals (I walk around with them in my mouth - super cute!) & my favorite color is pink. And you can win my heart with food & treats. Also, if I had my choice, I prefer women. I hope you come rescue me soon. I'm ready for my happily ever after. http://www.rescueachihuahua.com/adoption-application/ Love Josie xoxo

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Josie, a San Diego Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
