Facts about Sparrow

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Tiger Striped
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Female
  • Hair: Short
Acquired with Gatsby (not as a pair) in early February as part of a trade with another rescue group. Came to them as a mother cat the previous year. A week after she came to us, we realized she was eating very little - she'd approach her food, take a bite, then cry and run away from her food. She was diagnosed with stomatitis - where her mouth was severely inflamed as a reaction to her teeth. She has had all of her teeth (every single one) extracted to treat this and has responded very very well and quickly. She's eating great (Labrador style appetite now) , has gained 2 1/2 pounds since her dental surgery, and is very comfortable a much happier cat now. Now that there are no teeth left, that should be the end to her issues forever - and she still eats both canned and small sized kibble very happily.
She's very sweet and affectionate - a special girl who deserves and special home.

About Purrfect Pals

About Our Rescue Group...

Purrfect Pals is made up of a small number of caring volunteers. Most of the cats and kittens taken in are strays or orphans brought in to a local veterinary hospital for help and from there taken in to try to secure them a lasting and loved future.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We do not have a shelter - cats are in private foster homes. So, we try to see if we have a potential match or matches, then usually set up a meeting at the veterinary hospital where many of us work.

Our Adoption Process...

All cats and kittens are FeLV/FIV tested, started on vaccines, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Adult cats are generally $60 and kittens are generally $70.
