I am already neutered, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.
Meet Richard! Richard is one of our Project Dogs, a shelter program designed to help dogs with fear and other socialization issues overcome these obstacles and go on to find forever homes. Richard was pretty fearful when he first came into the shelter, but is doing SO great now! Richard is a gentle dog and overall very mellow. He enjoys walks (and walks great on the leash!), sniffing around the play yard, and cuddle time with his human pals. Everyone that meets Richard loves him and he returns the favor. Richard had a great day foster outing recently and even got along great with some kids that he met. Richard is calm, loving and friendly- truly, all he wants is to be a part of a family! Richard is currently kenneled by himself, but passed the shelter's dog eval. As always, we recommend dog intros prior to adopting, so bring your dog from home in and we can help you make sure everyone gets along.
If you want a quiet and mellow large dog, Richard is the one for you! You can meet this handsome fella in E building at the West Valley Animal Care Center in Phx (2500 S. 27th Ave.). Hours are from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mon-Fri and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sat & Sun. Four year old Richard's $20 adoption fee includes rabies certificate, County license, neuter and microchip!
