Best as an only pet. Good with older kids.
A very loving Basset Hound mix, Miss Mabel is a very joyful girl who loves hugs and belly rubs. She is a treasure! Approximately 5 years old and 30 pounds, this big-hearted girl is smart, energetic, and loves to play and cuddle.
Mabel walks well on a leash and sits for her meals. She likes to ride in the car, and loves to put her head out the window at slow speeds on back roads, nose in the wind, long black ears flapping. She is working on her social skills and does best meeting new people and dogs slowly.
Miss Mabel is spayed, heartworm negative, current on shots, and housetrained. She is a joy to be around and has a knack for spreading sunshine. She will make someone a very dear and loyal friend and companion!
If you feel your home might be the right place for Mabel, the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt. Once submitted, the foster will contact you to tell you more, and to arrange a meeting! The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $225.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter.
'Mabel is a participant in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so ongoing care and custody are provided by her foster, not by DFWRM.'
