Jackson is a friendly, affectionate guy. He likes to be with people, and does well with most cats. Jackson likes to listen to his human, and he is smart enough to learn behaviors by command!
Jackson lived with an older lady who had to go into assisted living. When he was checked at the vet, he had a heart murmur. The heat specialist vet found that his real problem was that he was hyper-thyroid. This chronic condition is controlled by a medicine that is administered in alternating ears each day.
Since Jackson needs medicine each day, he has been crated quite a bit. He is a funny guy--he likes to run around his room or the house (my dogs scare him a little), but when I say, back in your crate -and maybe tempt him w breakfast - he jumps back into his crate for me. I think Jackson would be a loving companion for someone who likes an alert, friendly guy.
All pets are spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations and on a flea/tick preventative. Cats are tested for FIV/FeLV and dogs are tested for heartworms. Adoption fee is $110 for cats and $150 for dogs.
