Easy's Story...
Hi everyone! I am a 5 month old female black/ white lab mix that was nick named "Easy" - because I am quite easy for a puppy so far they say! I do wish for my very own personalized name once my forever wonderful family adopts me though! I arrived at a rural shelter as a stray and no one came looking for me. I suspect I was part of an unplanned litter. I get along great with other dogs and enjoy laying on a doggie pillow with a chew (Nylabone) to entertain me. I know about this crate business already and have adapted well - I will put myself in my crate with no problems about it! I am a puppy though and will need a home that is ready for me. I still need guidance and continued patience with house training skills. I would really do good for another dog in the home too as I bring out the best in everyone! (and super fun!)

We recommend and encourage you to complete an application at before coming to our next adoption event. To find out if I will be attending our next adoption event, please email

Adoption events are every Saturday, excluding holidays, at the Petco located at 11331 W. Broad Street, Glen Allen, VA (next to Trader Joe’s) from 11:00am to 2:00pm.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Easy, a Richmond Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
