Triscuit's Story...
Triscuit and her siblings Biscuit & Pip came to ATTR from a hoarding situation and probably had little to no human contact. She and her 2 siblings were very shut down and terrified of everything when we first got them. They spent time at the adoption center and then went into foster homes with other dogs. The two girls are in a home together and Pip is in another. They are doing so much better and we are beginning to look for adopters that will continue the work the foster homes have put in with them. We are looking for less active calmer homes that will give them the space, time and trust needed to feel secure, safe and happy in their homes. ATTR will work with whomever adopts them and will provide the tools and resources needed for a smooth transition into their forever home.

Alsip To The Rescue (ATTR) strives as a rescue to make sure that when our adopters take home their new rescue they feel they have the support and access to all resources which ATTR can provide. If you want to learn how you can set your new rescue up to succeed and blend in with your family come to our Meet The Trainer sessions each weekend. We will give you tips on what to do when you first bring home a new rescue. Saturday at Noon in St John and Sunday at Noon in Frankfort are free Meet The Trainer sessions with more free sessions to be added during the week soon. Fill out an application in the Get Involved section to meet our rescues.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Triscuit, a Frankfort Corgi/Spaniel (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Corgi/Spaniel (Unknown Type) for sale in Frankfort, or seeking a Corgi/Spaniel (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Frankfort.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Frankfort already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Frankfort breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Corgi/Spaniel (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Corgi/Spaniel (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Frankfort paves the way for another one to be saved.
