Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Posted 3/2/16. Panky came to The Nest from a local animal shelter where he was taken after his owner could no longer take care of him due to health issues. Panky is your typical chihuahua: super cute, super snuggly and affectionate, yet feisty. He is outgoing, spunky, energetic and fun loving. Panky gets along well with other dogs and loves to play with them once he bonds. He is good with cats. Overall, Panky is well behaved, he is not a barker and he does not mind keeping to himself. He is crate trained. Two things will need some extra attention: As to being potty trained, Panky does very well when he is on a structured schedule and has access to a fenced in yard. He may have accidents initially but he is very smart and wants to please his person so with some patience he is very trainable. The second thing is that he can be protective of his home/person and when people he does not know come to visit, he may nip. Panky is about 6 years old and weighs about 6 lbs. For Franky we are looking for a more quiet home (he does not like noise) with hopefully another pup his size (and up to 15 lbs.) that he could become friends with and play with. We are looking for an experienced dog person who will understand his needs regarding potty training and attitude towards strangers. We also would like a home with a securely fenced in yard. Panky is neutered, he is current on vaccinations and he is on heartworm/flea prevention. If you are interested in adopting this cutie please fill out an adoption application on our web site http://www.inthenest.net/applications/adoption-application (an application has to be filled out prior to setting up a meeting). Panky's adoption fee is $150. No children under 12.
