Bonnie's Story...
BONNIE has been with us since 12/30/15. She is a year old and weighs 28 lbs.She is a very sweet dog and playful but a little shy. Her ideal home would not have small children just because she is timid. Older children would be fine... to be very honest she LOVES to be held. She seems most comfortable when she is sitting on your hip like a child. She is playful and easy to walk. She is a chewer so she would need a chew bone. She is good with kids, other dogs, and cats. She is spayed and up to date on shots. She is on Trifexis for flea and heartworm prevention and has been microchipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bonnie, a Covington Blue Heeler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Blue Heeler for sale in Covington, or seeking a Blue Heeler dog from a breeder in Covington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Covington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Covington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Blue Heeler breeders who help with Blue Heeler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Covington paves the way for another one to be saved.
