Roxie's Info...

Roxie's Story...
We are accepting applications on Evie’s puppies! Evie and her 5 puppies were found in the closet of a home separated from each other in two kennels. Evie and pups were very underweight and sick when they came to The Devoted Barn.

Once the puppies were weaned they were placed into foster homes and are doing great! They have gained some much needed weight and have been given a clean bill of health. Evie’s puppies are 10 weeks old (as of 2/7). Evie is a small bridle staffy mix and we have no clue who Dad was but he was clearly on the smaller side. We expect these guys to stay on the smaller side.

These puppies are great with kids, dogs and cats. They love to play and love to snuggle. You pretty much can’t go wrong with one of our sweet Evie’s puppies!

Please note that we do not release puppies to go to their new homes until they are 12 weeks old and have received all vaccinations. It is advised that you fill out an application ahead of time to get your home/vet check out of the way as soon as possible.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Roxie, a Newport Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Newport, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Newport.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newport already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newport breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newport paves the way for another one to be saved.
