Pretty Effie has personality plus. This 2-year-old, jet-black beauty has all the attributes one looks for in a perfect pet cat. She is sweet and loving and the fact that part of her ear has been docked just adds a little uniqueness to her appearance. Effie was saved from a hoarding situation along with over 30 other cats. She was brought to a local shelter where their overall condition was found to be quite good despite the cat’s origins. Unfortunately for Effie, black cats are often overlooked for their lighter colored counterparts and her outlook at the shelter was fairly bleak. Luckily, The Pet Rescue Center team spotted her and couldn’t resist her charming demeanor. She is now safe here with us and looking to find a loving family and safe home of her very own. ADOPTION PROCESS:
Pets are visited by appointment (times are flexible). Please email adopt@thepetrescuecenter.org to arrange a meeting time. This process allows potential adopters to spend adequate time with their prospective pet and prevents long wait times.
All interested parties must fill out an Adoption Application, which will be reviewed to find the best possible match. Completed applications can be submitted online, faxed to (949) 743-5878 or emailed to: adopt@thepetrescuecenter.org
Our adoption fee is $300 for dogs and $150 for cats, and includes spay/neuter, microchip, flea treatment, deworming, regular veterinary check-ups, and current vaccinations. This fee helps to defray the costs of medical care, supplies and boarding while the animals are in our care.
The Pet Rescue Center is a 501c3 non-profit organization that seeks to reduce unnecessary euthanasia of dogs and cats in at-risk situations and is temporarily housed inside the Alicia Pet Care Center at 25800 Jeronimo Rd. Suite 100, Mission Viejo, CA 92691.
