Violet's Story...
Violet is available to foster. If you'd like to foster please contact us at: foster@nyanimalrescue.org

Look at how pretty Violet is. This 2 year old lab has been with us for 6 months. She is absolutely terrified of the outside world and would much rather sit in her cage at the shelter which is breaking our hearts. Violet needs a very patient and understanding person who is willing to work with her and show her the world isn't a scary place (or maybe a nice home in the suburbs). Violet is otherwise very sweet and she gives lots of kisses. Visit this pretty girl at the shelter and if you'd like to foster please contact us at: foster@nyanimalrescue.org

Violet is spayed, dewormed, treated to prevent fleas & ticks and is up to date with vaccinations. Her adoption fee is $300.00, plus $8.50 for the dog license if you are a resident of NYC, and she'll get one free exam at our vet's office, one free month of pet health insurance and a microchip. If you'd like to adopt her please call or visit...we are conveniently located in Windsor Terrace, Brooklyn near the F train (Ft Hamilton Pkwy) and we are open daily from 11am to 7pm. Violet can't wait to meet you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Violet, a Brooklyn Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Brooklyn, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Brooklyn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brooklyn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brooklyn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brooklyn paves the way for another one to be saved.
