Cali -Courtesy Listing's Story...
Cali is a courtesy Listing and not an Aarf dog. She currently lives in Richmond, Va.

Cali is a 4-year old shepherd/hound mix looking for a new home. She is a very sweet, loving dog. She’s an indoor dog and has had some basic training. She loves to play so she would be good in a home with or without other dogs. We have an 11 month old and a new baby on the way and she has been a little skittish around the 11 month old. She has not been aggressive though. She has been very playful with older children. She’s an energetic dog and loves to go for runs/walks. She will need to be exercised. We have had her since she was 6 weeks old and she’s up to date on all shots and has been spayed. For more information, please contact aarfva@hotmail.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cali -Courtesy Listing, a Richmond Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
