Selkie's Story...
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Selkie was saved with a litter of malnourished puppies (15 total) in Southern Idaho. He's currently learning basic puppy things and he will need to learn that food will always be abundant. Because of his life until now, he gobbles his food and needs to be taught to slow down. Selkie is goofy, spunky and playful. He loves sleeping on his back. His adoption fee is $200 which includes neuter, DAPP vaccinations (doesn't include rabies because of his age), deworming, microchip, and vet check.

Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Selkie, a Rathdrum Australian Cattle Dog/Boxer puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog/Boxer for sale in Rathdrum, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog/Boxer puppy from a breeder in Rathdrum.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rathdrum already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rathdrum breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog/Boxer breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rathdrum paves the way for another one to be saved.
