Chip's Story...
Say hello to chocolate Chip! This little guy is so happy to be in rescue after some very tough times. Chip is 6 years, 12 pounds, quite a shy boy until he gets to know you. He's quiet, gentle, easy with his people. Chip is fine with all the dogs in this foster home -- except when it comes to sharing food. Chip can be quite aggressive then. He'd be best as an only dog for that reason. Chip had surgery to repair a torn ACL. He's all healed, doing fine now. Chip enjoys playing with toys! If you're looking for a laid back friend to hang out with, Chip just may be your boy. Please reach out and/or submit an application to adopt at http://www.almosthomerescue.org/onlineforms/adoptform.htm. Chip's adoption fee is $225 to help rescue pay for Chip's vet care.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chip, a Andalusia Miniature Pinscher/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Miniature Pinscher/Dachshund for sale in Andalusia, or seeking a Miniature Pinscher/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Andalusia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Andalusia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Andalusia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Miniature Pinscher/Dachshund breeders who help with Miniature Pinscher/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Andalusia paves the way for another one to be saved.
