Sam's Story...
Sam is a cute 1 year old -- 8-10lb Maltichi. He was owner surrendered to us when his family could no longer care for him. He's new to our program so we are still learning about him and will update his info as we get it. He is good with other dogs and cats. He appears to be good with children. He is doing good in the house and in the crate. He's a happy and active boy. He's utd, tested hw neg (below detectable levels) and will be neutered 3/16.

All dogs have a $150 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sam, a Grand Bay Maltese/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese/Chihuahua for sale in Grand Bay, or seeking a Maltese/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Grand Bay.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grand Bay already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grand Bay breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese/Chihuahua breeders who help with Maltese/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grand Bay paves the way for another one to be saved.
