Maggie's Story...
My name is Maggie and I have long hair and love to be petted and loved on, however, I miss my Mom and I’m a little scared being in a cage with people walking by is a new experience for me. I’m declawed in the front and would lover to find a forever home with someone that would let me sleep with them.
Hi! My name is Lucy and I’m the short haired one and I’ve been declawed too! Why do people do that? Anyway I like to control what Maggie does and I like to be in charge. I’d like a new Mom that I could sleep with and go under the covers to sleep. Maggie does not like to go out, but I love to get out so beware if you are interested in us that I’ll take any opportunity to sneak out. This is a new experience for us since we have always lived at the same house for 5 year so I’m a little scared too, not knowing what will happen to us.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maggie, a Richmond Maine Coon cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Maine Coon cat from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
