leila's Story...
Lovely Leila is a super sweet 6 year old girl who loves being the center of attention! Residing in our front office, Leila spends her days curled up on the counter next to us while we work. She also has taken it upon herself to take on the role of our welcoming committee, greeting all who approach the lobby window. While Leila enjoys being involved in all that our staff is doing, you don't have to worry about being suffocated with her presence 24/7, as she also enjoys her independent time. It's not unusual to see her casually leave the office, and toodle throughout our hallways, checking out the latest goings on, or simply just enjoying the change of scenery that her strolls bring.

Brought in as a stray, Leila has been with us for nearly a year. Originally she called our cat room home, however, kennel life was not for her. She became very withdrawn and did not show the wonderful girl that she is behind her door. Since moving up to our office, Leila's personality has exploded tenfold!

Want to get to know this loving, silly, sweetheart who is a staff and volunteer favorite? Stop in today and visit!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

leila, a Muskegon Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Muskegon, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Muskegon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Muskegon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Muskegon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Muskegon paves the way for another one to be saved.
