My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

At just short of 2 years old, Maggie is a fully grown Shepherd/Terrier mix who recently weighed-in at a modest 27 pounds. Before entering a foster home, Maggie lingered in the shelter because she's a shy and sensitive pup, but it's easy to see that with the love and security of a real, forever family, her playful personality will quickly blossom. Maggie is pretty and eager-to-please and you won't find a dog more deserving of a second chance at happiness, so why not take a chance on Maggie, today? You can meet Maggie by stopping in at the Dog Adoption House, 8476 Highland Road, or for more information, please text Maggie's foster mom at 225-571-6575

You might also be able to catch Maggie at our Dog Adoption House at 8476 Highland Rd! The hours are M-F: 11:30-5pm / Sat & Sun: 11-3pm! However, be sure contact Maggie's foster home first at to make they will be there on that day.

We have an application process to ensure that each dog and family is the right match. All applications must be approved prior to adoption. If you would like to start the application process to find out if you would be a good match, below are the instructions to our online application.
