Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi! My name is Reggie!
I’m a happy, healthy, handsome 15 month old Boxer mix. I’m the sweetest, most gentle, laid back guy you’ll ever meet. Even though I’m young I don’t have a lot of the puppy energy most guys my age have.
I enjoy going for slow, casual walks with my foster mommy and canine foster brother. I love taking my time to smell everything. I rarely pull on the leash even when I see other dogs and their people.
I also enjoy watching my foster mommy and I follow her around the house and backyard. I’m a curious guy so I like to see what she’s doing. And I like to “talk” to her too. Well, it’s more like a whimper but it’s the best I can do. I just like to get her attention once in a while. I really like it when she talks to me and pets me.
I’m also very curious about my canine foster brother. He’s teaching me how to play with toys. Mostly I just watch him intently. You see, I’m trying to figure out what he’s doing. It looks like fun especially when he’s playing with a squeaky toy. I’ll figure it out soon. When my foster mom plays fetch with my canine foster brother I trot behind him while he runs after the toy and brings it back. It’s fun!
Since I’m telling you what I like I have to tell you that I like dog treats and peanut butter and, well, basically any kind of food. I am good at doing things for treats like sit and lay down. And I’m very gentle when I take a treat. Honestly, I love pleasing people and will do anything for food.
My foster mommy wants me to tell you about my faults too. When I encounter something new I’m a little cautious. I’m not the least bit aggressive; I’d rather stay close to someone I trust. Also, I overheard the vet say I have something called an ear infection and he gave me an antibiotic and some ear drops. He also said I should be good as new in a couple days. I don’t like the ear drops but I’m ok with people putting them in my ears.
Now for the boring stuff: I’m 68 pounds (tall and lean), potty trained, crate trained, up to date on my vaccinations and neutered.
What I want most of all is a forever home with a nice family or person that I can love forever and ever. So, if you think I might make a good addition to your family please let the people at Dogworks know by going to www.dogworksohio.com and filling out an application. There’s no cost and no obligation to fill out an application. However, there is a small adoption fee of $165 to help cover the cost of my vaccinations, neutering, etc
