We were brought up and taught by our parents to honor elderly people. We were taught to respect them and learn from all of their life experiences. We were also taught to take care of our elderly when they are in need and never abandon them. As animal lovers, we are to love, care for and respect our pets for their entire lives too. Tragically and too often, the elderly are abandoned during their most vulnerable time of need and this is what happened to Mooch, through no fault of her own. Mooch lived with the same family for 10 years where she gave them her all of her love, affection and devotion. What did she get in return when she needed them most, nothing but thrown away as if she didn’t matter, into a scary, noisy and cold shelter where she had very little chance of making it out alive and was banished to live her remaining days frightened and alone. This is absolutely not the proper thing to do. After all Mooch has been through, she has plenty of giddy up in her step and tons of love and affection to give. Mooch is a lady who wants you all to herself. She cannot live with other furry animals. She’s house trained, healthy, spayed, up-to-date on her shots and wormed. Mooch is exceptionally affectionate with people and she still wants to live. Mooch stayed with a professional trainer for two weeks and she had nothing but wonderful things to say about Mooch and it is also her professional opinion that Mooch remain an only child. Because All Mutts Matter is a foster-based rescue and all of the foster homes have other pets, Mooch is staying at a very lovely boarding facility in PA and the folks there are taking great care of her. This elderly gal really deserves a loving family who will appreciate Mooch and we promise that she will give you her all. Please, find it in your heart to consider fostering and/or adopting Mooch and we promise you will gain the best companion ever. If you are interested in having Mooch join you, please go to www.allmuttsmatter.org and fill out either a foster or adoption application which are located under the ‘Adoption Info’ tab on the left. Thank you so much for reading Mooch’s story and we pray we hear from you soon. at www.allmuttsmatter.org . Below is our adoption process.
