Rufus's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, and not good with cats.

Rufus's Story...
ADOPTED! ADOPTION FEE WAIVED FOR FEB! Rufus was rescued from a neglect situation. He lived in a crate & only went out to go potty. He is now in a HOME situation & adjusting well. He is very affectionate & loyal. Rufus is young, probably not even 2 yrs old. Obviously, he is crate trained. He seems to be H/B as well. Ruf loves kids, gets along wonderfully with dogs (plays very energetically) & is much too interested in cats to live with one. He is UTD on vax, HW neg & neutered. Rufus is very active so will need lots of exercise. We prefer a home for Rufus where he will not be kept in a crate all the time, a home with older kids (12+) & dog experienced owners. If you'd like to meet this handsome guy, please complete & submit our on-line, nonbinding application for consideration.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rufus, a Brookeville American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Brookeville, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Brookeville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brookeville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brookeville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brookeville paves the way for another one to be saved.
