Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Affectionate, playful, sweet, and gorgeous are the top four adjectives for describing this 3-year-old female beagle. Dina was surrendered to Midwest BREW by a loving owner whose health difficulties made him unable to keep her. Dina loves people; her tail wags and her bottom wiggles whenever she sees anyone in her foster family. She enjoys playing with her beagle foster sibling as well. Dina shared her home with a standard poodle before he died in January.
Despite her recent losses, Dina has kept up her good cheer and adapted quickly to her foster home. She has enjoyed our walks, playing (especially tug-of-war with her rope toys), and hanging out in the back yard. She likes playing with older children for sure (she has experience playing with five-year-olds and older; she hasn't been observed with children younger than five).
Dina was housetrained but fell out of practice when her owner's illness disrupted her routine. However, she is getting the hang of it again! After a few first days of an accident here and there, she went a whole week before having a little slip. We think she'll keep improving with the help of a steady routine. The next step will be to get her to do her business while out on a walk. Right now, she prefers going in the yard, often still on leash after returning from a walk! For this reason, and because she has always had a yard to run around in, Dina does need a home with a fenced-in yard.
It's not hard to see why her owner misses her and why her foster family will miss her as well. Dina is a terrific dog who will bring much happiness to a new family.
