My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi everyone! My name is Twiggy. I am named after the supermodel famous in the 60’s, and my foster mom says it is a very fitting name. I am really tall, have long, long, long legs, big dark eyes, short hair, and I am as skinny as can be. I am also beautiful just like her! The resemblance is remarkable, but I don’t stop there. Twiggy was a part of the swinging 60’s; a wild and crazy time. I’m a bit wild and crazy myself, and a little goofy! Well, only in a young Beagle kind of way. I love to run and play and I constantly badger the other two dogs in the house to play with me. If they don’t want to play, I badger the humans to play with me. If the humans won’t play, I don’t mind; I play by myself. Sometimes I get myself tangled up in my own long legs and end up in a heap!
Like Twiggy the supermodel, I’m always on the move; traveling to new adventures and looking for that next photo opportunity. In fact, I can do some pretty creative poses! Like a child of the 60’s, I don’t hesitate to speak my mind either! If there is a bird or a squirrel in the yard, or a jogger or another dog on the street, I have to make my opinion heard! Foster mom thinks my Aroooo is really a show stopper!
I am starting to learn some manners in my foster home. I am doing pretty well on house training, and I will sit on command for a treat. Foster mom has me stay in my crate when no one is home, just because I like to sample the furniture. A bully stick, chew bone, or antler makes a pretty good substitute I guess. Still, I make my opinion known from inside the crate as she is walking out the door! I have some separation anxiety, and don’t want to let foster mom out of my sight, you see. We are working on it though, and I’m gradually learning that it’s ok to be alone for a while. At night, I snuggle down in my crate just fine and sleep until she comes to let me out in the morning. Still, another dog for company or someone who is home most of the time would help me out!
I love to go for car rides, and do great as long as I am tethered so I can’t roam around or climb TOO much. I am ok with older kids, but maybe a little too energetic for really small ones. I could go bounding around and knock them over or snatch a cracker right out of their hands. I would do great with an active owner who likes long walks or jogs, lots of play time, or trips to the dog park so I can stretch my long legs. In the evening I am the best snuggler ever! I like to scoot in close and rest my head on your knee or shoulder. Now tell me you wouldn’t like the chance to snuggle up next to a super model!!
