My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

3-23-16 A RESCUE GROUP IS CURRENTLY BEING COORDINATED WITH TO PULL MOLLY

UPDATED AND UPGRADED TO URGENT 3-21-16: Molly is no better so she needs a very experienced adopter and cannot be adopted by anyone walking in the door. The ACOs must be here when Molly is adopted or even taken out of her kennel.

Molly is a female Boxer possible Pit mix brought in as a stray from Hunters Chase Drive in the Chapel Hill area. She was pulling a pink leash and wearing a pink collar. She had been running loose for nearly a week and had to be trapped to be caught. She is extremely shy and scared right now so we are giving her a few days to calm down before we handle her. We are estimating her to weigh at least 40 pounds and probably more. She will receive vaccinations once we can touch her. We are deworming her. Her adoption fee is $125 to cover her spay and Rabies once she is available.

The current adoption fee is $125 which includes the dogs spay or neuter and Rabies vaccination at a local vet, and covers the distemper/parvo vaccine and bordetella vaccine and dewormings it receives here at our shelter.

After you have brought proof of your dogs spay/neuter back to the shelter $50 of that adoption fee will be returned to you, or you may choose to donate it so that another dog can be spayed or neutered at our shelter.

By TN state law stray dogs are held for 3 days so they can be found by their owners before being put up for adoption or rescue. A dog found as a stray wearing a collar is held for 5 days before it is put up for adoption or rescue. Our shelter is a first come first adopt/rescue facility. There are no holds placed on dogs for potential adopters/rescue. They are available at 7am on the day they are available and must be picked up and paid for at that date/time. An adopter or rescue cannot call and hold a dog to be picked up at a later date. It is available to the public until it walks out the door.
