Chai's Story...
*LOCATED IN ASTORIA*
Chai, short for Tchaikovsky:
This sweet, petite 3 month old girl can be a little shy at first. She loves to play and food boosts her confidence 10-fold! On her list of favorite things is receiving treats for being cute, and getting neck rubs. Her purr is so soft, it defines her personality perfectly!

She gets along well with other cats and would do well in a home with older children.

She is a little apprehensive, but curious about having dogs as friends.

PERFECT for a first time cat owner.

Spayed, UTD on vaccinations, and FELV/FIV negative

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chai, a Astoria Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Astoria, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Astoria.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Astoria already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Astoria breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Astoria paves the way for another one to be saved.
