Dorothy Riley's Story...
Dorothy Riley is an adorable whopper of a puppy! At 8 weeks she weighs 16 lbs. She's everything a puppy should be including curious, clumsy, and has wonderful puppy breath. She also happens to be very smart. She figured out how to get out of the dog door within an hour! She and her siblings will likely be between 85-100 lbs when they grow up. Dorothy Riley's mother looks just like a large yellow lab with one exception, she has double dew claws. That means there is a large breed in the mix such as Great Pyrenees or Saint Bernard. Dorothy Riley doesn't have double dew claws but a large breed is in her lineage. We're not sure what dad was but he must be handsome to give her such a pretty black nose. Dorothy Riley will be ready for her forever home at the end of March. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dorothy Riley, a Harrisonburg Labrador Retriever/Great Pyrenees puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Great Pyrenees for sale in Harrisonburg, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Great Pyrenees puppy from a breeder in Harrisonburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Harrisonburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Harrisonburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Great Pyrenees breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Great Pyrenees rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Harrisonburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
