Princess Leia is a beautiful calico Maine Coon/ DMH mix with dazzling green eyes who was born in the fall of 2013. She is an extremely gentle, sweet, sociable kitty who loves to curl up on your lap or beside you and turn on her purr motor, which sounds like a perking coffeepot. This quiet affectionate beauty absolutely adores being brushed and petted, and as you acquiesce to the Princess' wishes, she reciprocates by turning up the volume of her purr motor. She also likes to rub up against you (probably to plant her pheromones on you) and gaze up at you affectionately with aforementioned emerald eyes. She will sometimes meow to get her foster mom's attention; perhaps she just wants reassurance that she is deeply loved; perhaps she is like a typical female and wants to "talk."
Princess Leia is still a young adult and likes to play with toys like catnip mice and balls with bells inside. The catnip mice are her favorite playthings because she likes to "drown" them in her water bowl or else race around to bat them from place to place. She may be a little shy at first but quickly warms up; in fact, her shyness melts away as soon as she's got a catnip mouse in her mouth!
She gets along well with the two small dogs and one adult cat in her foster home. She seems to really like the cat, and they often chill out next to each other.

Maine Coon mixes are known for their gentle, loving, calm dispositions and intelligence. They often make soft little chirping noises as they go about their day. They are delightful companions who are loving, loyal, and very patient with gentle children. Sometimes they pick up food with their front paws.
