Beatrice's Story...
ARE YOU BEA's ANGEL?

Beatrice has now been in boarding at a small vet office for over TWO YEARS in rural Northeastern NC!

She deserves to be a dog again. She has been forgotten about. Once safe from being euthanized at the shelter, people no longer stepped up to help her find a home.

Bea has been in a small kennel for a long time and will need patience, understanding, and time to adjust to a new family. She has never known a loving family and home.

She was brought into the shelter due to a cruelty case.....neglect. She had some medical issues and Bertie County Humane Society stepped in and helped her.

If you are the special person that can provide the loving home and family Bea has waited for, please contact us today.

**The Bertie County Shelter is very small and rural, & the Bertie County Humane Society consists of volunteers who work out of the county kill shelter.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Beatrice, a Powellsville Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Powellsville, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Powellsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Powellsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Powellsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Powellsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
