My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Champ is a tan/white Chihuahua/Rat Terrier mix who is about 6 or 7 years old and weighs all of 5 lbs. This little guy came to us a little scared but is definitely not aggressive. He just needs a minute to warm up. He is a lapdog and loves to give kisses and he bonds especially quickly to women. He is more cautious around men but not fearful, he just likes to go slowly when he meets someone new. He is such a good boy he already sleeps quietly through the night in his crate after just a few minutes token whining. Although Champ is a good little guy, it seems that he hasn't had the benefit of obedience training. There is another larger dog in the home and Champ gets along just great with him. He also is good with cats. He is wonderful on the leash and is housetrained. He can be a little nervous when handled at the vets so he needs his space respected and to be approached gently. We think he'd be fine with older kids but probably not younger ones as he can be a little skittish. He has a heart murmur which we are monitoring and his heart also appears to be enlarged. He is ready for his forever home right now.
