Jellybean's Story...
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Jellybean is a very sweet, mellow purrball. She was taken in by a kind man who'd never had a pet but hated to see her outdoors in the cold. He feels his health makes it wisest for PAWS to help find her a family who can offer her all the love and care she so deserves. She's young, estimated to be only about 2. She is as playful as a kitten when you give her a bit of catnip! She purrs when her foster dad walks anywhere near her and is very calm and sweet with anyone new, even during her trip to the vet! We hope you can share your life with this gentle soul, who will return your love and devotion with a continuous purr!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jellybean, a Wakefield Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Wakefield, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Wakefield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wakefield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wakefield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wakefield paves the way for another one to be saved.
