Josie's Story...
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

I was found in someone's garage when I was only about a week old. I guess my mother couldn't come back and get me. I was bottle fed by the family that found me until I could eat on my own. Then they gave me to a foster home where there were other kittens my age that I could grow up with. That's where I met my friend Aurora. We have lots of fun together and would love to be adopted by the same family. Can you give us both a loving home?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Josie, a Wakefield Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Wakefield, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Wakefield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wakefield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wakefield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wakefield paves the way for another one to be saved.
