My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

PLEASE READ THIS PROFILE AND THE REQUESTED CRITERIA BEFORE CALLING OR SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION. THANKS FOR YOUR ATTENTION AND CONSIDERATION

MEET ASIA…a 4 yr old, cream and tan (purple Mohawk compliments of the shelter and LHH), 7 lb, waif of a Maltese/Poodle/Chi mix, who sadly was abused. She is a stranger in her own world, but she is slowly but surely feeling stronger to venture out and check everything out. The shelter shaved her because you couldn’t tell her top from her bottom, she was so matted! Still Asia has a heart of gold….and it’s wonderful to watch her open up and begin to trust. She’s a funny, quirky, happy go lucky, playful wonderful little girl….with a great sense of humor…and she absolutely deserves a second chance to be loved. Her fear was classified as aggression at the shelter, so she was left behind. Once Asia learns to trust you, which can happen overnight if you are her person, she is one of the most affectionate dogs you will ever meet. She is snippy with strangers, so you have to be patient and work with her…though she never means to “bite.” She bonds quickly to her human and loves to snuggle and kiss! She can be fearful of new people, so she will need an adoptive family who is understanding, patient and experienced. Asia’s best friend, after her human, is her basket of toys! She will jump 3 feet in the air … fetch and bring the toy back! The ideal home for this little Munchkin would be with one or two dogs, a single person and no children. Doing great with her potty training but no promises at your house! Are you Asia’s hero?

Our website is updated daily. Please do not apply for this dog unless your home fits the specified criteria. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, groomed, vet checked, dewormed, deflea'd and come with a leash, collar and ID

UPDATE!!!! Lhasa Happy Homes will be now holding our adoption events most every Sunday at ROVER KENNELS on Main Street in Santa Monica (check calendar link below for special events and directions). Rover is located at 2116 Main Street, in Santa Monica, CA. Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household. Main Street is famous for its innovative shops and is close to the beach! Make a day of it!! Metered parking on the street and free parking on 4th and Bicknell Streets.

Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household....and do some fantastic shopping at the same time! Please do call us if you are coming to see a particular dog to make sure he/she will be at adoptions (we do not bring sick dogs to our adoption events). Please bring a copy of your application and pictures of your home and yard if we have not done a home check! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting!

Don't forget to check out our Events Calendar for more information on upcoming events!
