George's Story...
George is a 7 year old Beagle that was taken to a shelter when his mom died. George was apparently loved and spoiled by his mom because he is quite picky when it comes to his food. His preference for mealtime is 2 separate bowls - one for some canned and the other for some dry kibble.

George might be 7 but he's no slouch. He has lots of energy for play and walks. He is quite taken with stuffed toys. George is a clown and will keep his person amused with his antics. He's also quite the lover and enjoys any and all attention.

George is house trained and will go to the door when he needs to relieve himself. Once he's done, he will be back at the door asking to come in.

George enjoys his couch time and at just 22 pounds, he doesn't take up much space.

If you're looking for a companion that is mature, energetic, house trained, doesn't chew and is totally loveable... George is waiting!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

George, a Avon Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Avon, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Avon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Avon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Avon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Avon paves the way for another one to be saved.
