Capp's Story...
If you’re looking for a cool cat, Capp is your boy. He's as relaxed as a cat can get! Vet visits? Hissing cats? Nothing phases this boy. A 5-year-old male with a silly, playful personality, Capp is an energetic, social cat who wants to have fun. As soon as he’s pet, he’ll roll around on the ground asking for more!

Capp was living on the mean streets of New York City, but now he needs a real home with someone who will love him unconditionally…he’ll be sure to return the favor. Plus, just take a look at those cheeks!

Capp is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, tested negative for FeLV and FIV, microchipped, and dewormed. All that he is missing is a loving forever home and an awesome human. Will you provide that for Capp? Get in touch! Email adopt@emptycagescollective.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Capp, a Brooklyn Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Brooklyn, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Brooklyn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brooklyn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brooklyn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brooklyn paves the way for another one to be saved.
