LuLu's Story...
Lulu - She's a shy girl, but with a calm person will warm up. Needs a quiet house with either older kids or no kids. Is fine with other cats after an adjustment period. Will sleep on your chest or next to you at night for cuddles. Will start purring as soon as you start petting her and you can pick her up and hold her almost like a baby as she's a small kitty! She rolls on her back for belly rubs and enjoys solo play. While playing with toys she bunny hops and then will bat the toys around.

If you are interested in adopting Lulu, please call 508-994-0220 or e-mail cricket13@comcast.net

LuLu is in foster care so please email for an appointment to meet her.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

LuLu, a Acushnet Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Acushnet, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Acushnet.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Acushnet already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Acushnet breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Acushnet paves the way for another one to be saved.
