Facts about Scarlett

  • Breed: Eclectus
  • Color: Red
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Female
Hello, My name is Scarlett. I am a female Eclectus. I am around 8-10 years old. I can be handled but I do bite. My foster mom is working with me on perching when I get out of the cage. I am getting better every day. I will bite by surprise sometimes! So I know this is something I have to learn not to do. So far I have not said any words but I do watch everything around so my foster mom just thinks I'm getting more comfortable before I speak. I do make honking noises and I make the tongue clicking noise. I love all kinds of fruits and veggies. I know I would be a really great pet with the right person. I need a adopter who is willing to work with me and who will give me lots of time. Eclectus need fruits and veggies for our daily diet. I have lost feathers threw the years, we really don't know why, could be stress, diet, its just not known. But I am getting new feathers back everyday. I do have a wish list, and would appreciate any toys or perches. Here is the link:
Thank you for reading my bio. I hope to meet you someday.,

About Florida Parrot Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Florida Parrot Rescue is dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of companion parrots. We strive to educate parrot owners on proper handling and care of parrots. Should someone be unable to keep their bird(s) for ANY reason, we want them to know there is a place to turn, and that they are not alone. It is our goal to provide a safe haven for birds that cannot stay with their owners or birds in need, and then to find those birds permanent forever homes with loving and responsible families.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our rescues are located in homes through out the state. We will work with the fosters and potential adopters to set up dates and times.
