FAYE (R)'s Story...
Meet the lovely Faye! This gorgeous kitty was turned into the shelter along with her doggie friend Dixie (#582804) on 3/15/16 when their owner could no longer financially care for the pets. Faye is about 5 years old and has the most beautiful unique calico markings. She is GOOD WITH KIDS, GOOD WITH DOGS and HOUSEBROKEN. She would love to be adopted with her buddy Dixie, but it is not required and they can go to separate homes. She is current on her vaccines and upon adoption will be spayed, combo tested and micro chipped. Faye's ID # is 582803 and she can be found in cage 604 in the cat room. Come meet her today!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

FAYE (R), a Marietta Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
