Meet Missy. A 6 year old beautiful lady who has had a truly rough young adult hood. She was found in a parking lot with her tail ran over, rushed to a hospital where it was amputated. There she lived for 9 months and forgotten about until SCR heard her story. We placed her in a temporary foster where she literally had to build courage to walk again since her cage was so constricted. That foster left to her country and just when we put her In another foster to adopt... that wonderful volunteer was soon after diagnosed with parkinsons and it's been quite aggressive he can no longer care for her as he will be put in a nursing home soon. She's a very sweet cat however needs a low activity home and experienced owner who will give her time to gain trust. She has symptoms of PTSD and can be fearful for no reason. She shows no aggression. If anyone can be her forever home contact 9179746666 and fill this application out to be Missy's hero.

About Second Chance Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a small, individual, private rescue group dedicated to giving unwanted dogs and cats a second chance. Most of the animals we rescue are strays and or owner surrenders to high kill city shelters. Many of them have been pulled off “death row”. We are very passionate about what we do, we love and care for these animals unconditionally. Our goal is to place our homeless rescues in permanent loving homes as their former owners have already abandoned them at least once before.

Adoption process includes adoption application, phone interview and home visit. Vet references are checked!

Come Meet Our Pets...

We do not have a physical shelter, we place our rescues in foster homes or boarding facilities where they are socialized and nurtured back to health before we place them in their forever home. If you are interested in adopting a friend, kindly look at our available pet on this site.

Our Adoption Process...

Adoption/Foster Application must be completed online via the link below.
