My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Joey is a 9-month-old male, Mastiff Mix. He weighs approximately 90lbs right now, but he still has a little bit of growing to do.

He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccines. He is also fully housebroken.

Joey can be quite timid when first meeting people, but he does warm up to them pretty quickly. He has been exposed to children, but his interactions with them have been minimal. He has never shown any aggression whatsoever towards kids, but due to his nervousness, it's best that he go to a home without very young children. Children 10 and up would be most ideal.

Despite his size, he is very unsure about the world. He will need an owner that can provide him with the exposure he needs and help him build his confidence so that he is comfortable in new situations.

Joey's current owners are completely heartbroken that they have to re-home him. However, they feel it is best, for his safety and well-being, that he live with another family. As he's gotten older, Joey and another male dog in the house have begun to disagree on how things are supposed to be. His family feels that he would be better as an only dog. He is fine around other dogs outside of the home, as he does go to doggy daycare regularly, he just probably shouldn't live with them.

Joey would do best in a house with a yard, he loves to roll around in the grass.

His energy level is moderate, but overall he is not too energetic for a puppy his age. He needs stimulation to keep him from getting bored, but he doesn’t require a ton of exercise.

Joey would make a great addition to a family. He is very sweet, playful, and happy.
